LATA STATEMENT REGARDING THE CORONAVIRUS

corona-virus

Updated statement 16 March 2020

Following the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus that has dominated the recent news agenda, LATA is monitoring the situation closely, including the advice issued both by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the World Health Organisation.

At present, all forthcoming LATA events will continue as planned. The welfare of our colleagues, members and guests is always our primary concern and we will continue to reassess the situation over the coming days, weeks and months and issue advice accordingly. LATA would recommend that members travelling to any of our events should also follow their own country guidelines and official health advice.

We are in constant dialogue with relevant bodies and continue to gather information from official sources. Based on this guidance, we can confirm that there are currently no plans to alter or cancel our planned events.

Should this situation change, we will communicate developments as quickly as possible.
