In Panama, we’re supporting Pro-Eco Azuero by funding a group of 24 young people to gain their certification in community-based green tourism within the Pablo Barrios Wildlife Refuge. Through expert-led workshops and in field expeditions, the graduates have studied everything from the biodiversity of the refuge, climate change, to important guiding skills and photography. We look forward to seeing what is to come!
In Belize, together with the Community Baboon Sanctuary Women’s Conservation Group and the Belize Tourism Board, we have been delivering hands on training workshops to equip local women and youth with valuable tourism and hospitality skills. As well as boosting livelihoods, we strive to raise awareness and more funds to protect the endangered howler monkeys.
