ST Costa Rica DMC is proud to share the progress of our Rural Tourism Enterprise Support Programme in the Miravalles region—an initiative that reflects our commitment to sustainable, inclusive tourism with a positive community impact. In partnership with the University of Costa Rica, the Municipality of Bagaces in Guanacaste, the local tourism chamber, and our in-house team, we delivered ten training sessions to the second generation of rural entrepreneurs. Topics included customer service, pricing, cash flow, legal requirements, marketing, and sustainability. The five-month programme graduated 35 participants, equipping them with practical tools to thrive in the tourism sector. During the course of this year, we will begin a second phase, focused on on-site evaluations and integrating selected businesses into our commercial offering.
