Buzios
We recently sent a team from our office to Búzios, a charming seaside town just three hours from Rio de Janeiro, known for its stunning beaches, boutique hotels, and breathtaking coastal views.
The goal of this trip was to evaluate which tours are truly worth doing and to design new, unique experiences that reveal Búzios’ hidden corners—allowing your clients to experience the destination in a more authentic way, like a local.
Búzios is the kind of place where most travellers will enjoy wandering on their own—discovering the peninsula’s many beaches, dining at cosy bistros, strolling along the iconic Rua das Pedras, and shopping at the local boutiques. But beyond this laid-back charm, there’s so much more to explore.

Maido named No.1 in the World’s Best 50 Restaurants for 2025
Congratulations to chef Mitsuharu Tsumura. Since 2009, Tsumura’s culinary vision has uniquely combined Peruvian ingredients with Japanese techniques – a fusion he has refined over time – leading to him becoming a global benchmark for Nikkei cuisine.
Maido is the second Peruvian restaurant to claim the top spot, following Central in 2023, led by Vigilio Martinez.
This award for Maido reaffirms the boom that Peruvian cuisine continues to experience, receiving international recognition year after year. For the 12th time, Peru was named the “World’s Leading Culinary Destination” at the 2024 World Travel Awards and Lima was honored as the “Best City for Food in Latin America” at the 2024 World Culinary Awards.
See here for the full list of the top 50.

New glamping experience
Four hours south of Lima, the Ica ecosystem is as dramatic as it is overlooked: towering dunes that feel closer to the Sahara than the Andes, empty beaches, cold Pacific waters and small communities living in relationship with the arid coastline. We have created a new experience to explore these elements. It begins by descending through vast desert dunes in 4×4 vehicles to the sea. The pace slows as we visit a local seaweed collector who shares their knowledge.
Travellers then explore coastal caves, enjoy chef-prepared ceviche and gather for dinner under the stars before retiring to their tents. This trip opens a door to a different Peru—one shaped by sand, salt, wind and resilience. Like everything we do at Tropic, it benefits the people and places we visit.

Amazonas Explorers
Two Wins For A Better Future
Amazonas Explorer was proud to be awarded Gold for Climate Adaptation & Resilience at the 2025 LATA Responsible Tourism Awards for our native Queuña tree-planting project that has helped plant over 1 million trees since 2007. This honour highlights our long-term commitment to help combat climate change in the Andes.
We’ve also, for the 3rd time, renewed our B Corp certification, with a solid score of 94, reaffirming that we meet high standards of social and environmental performance, and that “People and Planet before Profit” remain central to every decision we make.
These achievements are only possible thanks to the communities we work alongside, our incredible team, and the partners who share our belief in our mission.
