Uncovering the Bolivian Amazon: Pampas or Jungle?
The Bolivian Amazon is a well-kept secret in South America, offering two distinct experiences from Rurrenabaque: the Pampas and the Jungle. The Pampas are ideal for wildlife lovers and photographers. You can enjoy boat tours, swim with pink dolphins, and alligator-spotting adventures.

It is recommended to combine both regions for a 5–6 day journey to admire Bolivia’s biodiversity. Contact us (commercial@pure-travelgroup.com) and craft eco-conscious Amazon itineraries for your clients.

New air route
CA new air route strengthens Chihuahua’s connection with the Baja California Peninsula and opens fresh opportunities to integrate the Chepe Express into broader travel itineraries across Mexico.
As of July 2025, TAR México’s direct flights linking Los Mochis with Chihuahua and La Paz offer seamless access to one of the country’s most iconic experiences. Travellers can begin their journey in Chihuahua, discovering its rich culture and dramatic mountain landscapes, before boarding the Chepe Express through the Copper Canyon. From Los Mochis, a quick flight leads to Baja California’s serene beaches—creating a unique, multi-destination adventure that blends nature, culture, and coastal charm in one itinerary.

New camp
We are excited to announce our new luxury tent camp in Magdalena Bay, Camp Cecil de la Bahia! Each year the gray whales migrate 6,000 miles from arctic waters to the Pacific lagoons of the Baja peninsula to mate, give birth, and enjoy a warm winter respite. Our new camp is located on a sliver of land with the Bay and the gray whales on one side, and a protected estuary with mangroves, abundant birdlife, dolphins and more on the other.
It is one of the best whale watching spots in all of Baja – whales are simply everywhere! The tents are beautifully appointed walk-in safari-style tents with gorgeous beds, seating areas, rugs, chandeliers, and ensuite bathrooms. The camp chef prepares three beautiful meals a day and there is a daily happy hour.

Peñico: Peru’s New Archaeological Gem Opens to Visitors
Peru has unveiled Peñico, a 3,800-year-old archaeological site in the Supe and Huaura valleys. Dubbed the “City of Social Integration,” Peñico once connected coastal, Andean, and Amazonian communities and traded valuable goods like hematite. Highlights include the remarkable “Hall of Pututus,” adorned with snail trumpet motifs symbolising social importance.
After eight years of research, Peñico joins Caral, Áspero, and Vichama as part of the Caral Archaeological Zone’s open sites. Visitors can explore with the help of new interpretive centres and guided tours. Located about 4.5 hours from Lima, Peñico is now open daily.
On July 12, a cultural festival called “Peñico Raymi” was held to celebrate this historic unveiling.
Tropic Travel
Going Deeper in Peru
The Tropic Collection was created to spotlight places that are not just beautiful, but deeply rooted. These are lodges and journeys that take travellers beneath the surface. You may already know Camino del Apu Ausangate: a lodge-to-lodge trek through some of Peru’s most pristine landscapes, owned and operated by the llama and alpaca herder communities of Chillca and Osefina.
The route circles the sacred Ausangate massif—revered as the birthplace of llamas and alpacas—and reaches Rainbow Mountain before the crowds. Our travellers spend time on the trek with Tío Mario Irco—one of the guardians of Ausangate. Tío Mario doesn’t just offer hospitality, he shares a worldview. And today, where travellers are increasingly seeking depth and Indigenous wisdom, this kind of encounter is invaluable. Contact us for our Ausangate Explorer Guide.
