LATA is looking for an energetic Member Services Executive to help support the team in the delivery of services for our members.
Hybrid – South Kensington and Remote
£30 – 33k per annum depending on experience.
The Latin American Travel Association (LATA), formed in 1993, is the trade body for the UK to Latin America tourism industry, and exists to responsibly promote Latin America as a leading tourist destination. LATA Members represent an ever-growing travel community with unrivalled passion and knowledge for Latin America. The association is comprised of over 400 companies including tourism boards, airlines, hotels, tour operators, representation companies and the travel press.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as first point of contact for member queries
- Adding news and events to the website
- Creating and sending e-newsletters and other communications to members
- Handling press support requests
- Supporting our virtual round-table, webinar and training programmes
- Assisting with LATA’s awards programme – Media Awards, Excellence Awards, and Responsible Tourism Awards
- Supporting in person events, e.g. LATA Expo, Parliamentary Reception, Awards, Conference, socials
- General admin, including helping the LATA Foundation if required
- As a small team there will be occasions when you will need to assist in other areas of the business on an ad-hoc basis
Must have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in English
- Willingness to attend some out-of-hours events
- Willing to work in our Central London office 1-2 days per week, possibly more as necessary
- Willing to travel as needed by the role – e.g. events, conferences, fam trips etc.
- Must be able to work as a member of a small team
- Must have valid passport, UK driving license, and right to work in the UK.
Nice to have:
- An understanding of the travel landscape from travel agent to tour operators through to flights, accommodation and DMCs/overseas suppliers
- Knowledge of Latin America
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
