LATA is delighted to announce the LATA Media Awards 2024, taking place on 24 September.
The annual awards ceremony recognises innovation and excellence across the British travel media landscape and rewards articles, blogs and photography that promote travel to and around Latin America.
The LATA Media Awards will include the following categories:
- Best Latin America Travel Feature – newspaper or news outlet (online or print)
- Best Latin American Travel Feature – magazine (online or print)
- Best Latin America Travel Blog or Podcast
- Best use of video to promote Latin America
- Best use of social media to promote Latin America
- Best published Latin America travel image
- Best Latin America feature – trade press
- Best specialist feature (with a focus on conservation, community a/o sustainability). Newspaper, magazine, trade, blog, vlog or podcast)
- Best LATA member content (published on owned channels). NOTE for LATA members only
Entry criteria:
- Entries will be welcomed from UK published editors, journalists, content creators, bloggers and photographers (except the ‘best LATA member content’ which is for LATA members)
- PRs a/o other third parties can also submit entries
- Entries must present Latin America in a positive light, encouraging travel to the region (or to a specific country a./o project).
- Submissions for the photography award must be a published photo of/in Latin America and emailed at 300dpi resolution or as a PDF scan. All submissions must have a PDF or a screen grab of the article.
- All submissions must have been published between 01 January 2023 and 31 December 2023.
- A maximum of three entries are allowed per person.
- A maximum of two entries per LATA member for the ‘best LATA member content’
Deadlines
All entries should be emailed to latapr@wearelotus.co.uk with the submission form (please note a separate form is required for each entry), by 6pm (GMT) on 10 July.
Results will be announced at the LATA Media Awards on 24 September 2024.
