Lima will host The World’s 50 Best Restaurants on November 4, 2026, becoming the first city in South America to welcome the prestigious culinary event. The announcement follows Maido’s recognition as The World’s Best Restaurant in 2025, reinforcing Peru’s position as a leading global gastronomic destination.

Throughout the week, the program will feature exclusive dinners, industry talks, chef collaborations, and the highly anticipated awards ceremony. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore Peru’s rich culinary heritage through market tours, cooking classes, traditional eateries, and regional food experiences across the Coast, the Andes, and the Amazon.

According to PROMPERÚ, gastronomy is one of the main reasons international travelers—especially Millennials and Generation X—choose Peru, drawn by its authentic flavors.
