For years, one of Cartagena’s most traditional experiences has been touring the colonial streets of the Historic Center in horse drawn carriages. However, beginning in late 2025, this tradition took a step toward a more sustainable model with the introduction of electric-powered carriages that preserve the essence of the experience while promoting animal welfare and more responsible mobility. Today, visitors can continue to enjoy this traditional route through a renewed proposal that combines heritage, innovation and sustainability, with electric vehicles helping to reduce environmental impact and improve the tourist mobility experience, as well as greater organization by zones, routes and parking points for a more controlled operation.
