Taking ONE child on holiday

Family holidays… The sibling bickering doesn’t stop just because you’re somewhere different. For everyone to be happy, no matter how well planned, there are still compromises to be made.

We’re seeing a rise in parents avoiding the family dynamics altogether: by ONE parent going away with just ONE of their children. Their partner stays behind to hold the fort. The children know their turn will come, and when it does, they will be the focus of attention.

Not only does the 1-on-1 time forge a deeper connection, but returners say their child developed noticeably in emotional maturity during the holiday.

Examples we at LiNGER Travel have planned recently include a father-son trip to Panama (“We were constantly active and there were no arguments!”), a mother-daughter holiday in Costa Rica (“I wanted time just with us two together before she went to university”)  and a mother-son trip to the Caribbean (“[LiNGER] planned the holiday around everything he and I both loved – it was the most stress-free and enjoyable holiday ever”).
