Golden Experiences & Travel (GET) has completed a major solar energy installation at La Selva Eco-Lodge & Retreat in the Ecuadorian Amazon, advancing its long-term sustainability stewardship strategy. The new photovoltaic system, composed of 70 solar panels, is projected to reduce diesel consumption by approximately 66.7% and eliminate nearly 100 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually. The initiative strengthens the lodge’s energy autonomy while reducing fuel transportation needs within the reserve. Operating primarily through solar energy and battery storage systems, La Selva continues to integrate measurable environmental responsibility with bespoke hospitality experiences across the Amazon.
