We would like to share a brief update following a fire that affected an area of reeds near the Uros floating islands on Lake Titicaca.

We are saddened by the environmental impact of this incident. Fortunately, authorities have confirmed that no injuries or fatalities have been reported. According to our local team, the Uros floating community visited as part of our itineraries has not been affected. Some smoke and ash reached the surrounding area due to the wind, but this has not impacted tourism operations.

Excursions on Lake Titicaca and visits to the Uros are operating normally.
