LATA appointed Lotus PR in January 2016 to run the LATA press office and look after all LATA’s PR needs.
The team work tirelessly to promote LATA as the voice of Latin America in the UK and beyond. Their activities include monthly press releases to both the trade and consumer media and themed round-up newsletters, media requests and media events, creating a two-way channel of information between the LATA membership and the UK media.

The team have put together this detailed document to help you make the most of the PR service LATA offer for its members.
 

PRESS RELEASES & NEWS ROUND-UPS

The LATA PR team will be producing monthly press releases and newsletters to stimulate Latin America press coverage. In order to take maximum benefit of this service, please provide the team with as much information as possible in line with the planned themes.

We publish the news every two months. You will receive a media request e-mail from press@lata.travel.

Media Newsletters – Please send genuine news such as new tours in Latin America, new destinations opening up for tourism, new airline routes, new tourism infrastructure, new hotels.

Please submit news to our PR team using the online form.

 

PRESS REQUESTS

The LATA PR team run a news desk for LATA and are regularly contacted by journalists for information. The team will alert members via email of all journalist request. Please remember that journalists work on a very tight schedule and often require a same day response. The quicker you reply to the request, the more likely it is you will receive coverage.
 

LATA MEDIA EVENTS

In line is LATA’s core aim to promote travel to Latin America, LATA Media events are held twice a year in order to stimulate and grow Latin America press coverage in the UK. The events provide an informal networking environment for LATA members and key British media to meet and discuss story ideas and Latin American travel trends.
