The Explorations Company

Founded by Nicola Shepherd in 1989, Explorations Company is an experiential travel specialist offering exceptional bespoke wildlife safaris, adventures and expeditions to the most awe-inspiring places in Latin America. For more than three decades it has curated elevated and once-in-a-lifetime experiences - be it a private aerial safari through Patagonia or an immersion into a remote indigenous Amazonian community. No trip is the same, and each draws from an unparalleled black book of leading conservationists, ecologists, explorers, marine biologists, adventurers and, importantly, philanthropists.

From the outset, philanthropy has been a key pillar of Exploration Company’s offering. It continues to support deserving, often lesser known, ‘sharp-end’ conservation and community projects, using travel as a means to give back and enable its guests to be a force for positive change. To date, Explorations Company has partnered with clients to raise over $5 million across 65 initiatives.
